Fair Tax Accountant is a leading firm of public accountants located in Geelong. Fair Tax Accountant Pty Ltd are market leaders in providing professional accounting, taxation and business services to a diverse range of clients Their business is growing and there is an opening for an Assistant Accountant within the business.

Your daily duties will include:

• Prepare asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Summarizing current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss
  statement and other reports.
•  Managing Payroll and STP filing process.
• Recording expenditures and ensuring these expenses are within the set budget.
•  Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Prepare and lodge tax returns.
• Preparing and lodging BAS and GST statements.
• Maintaining balance sheet sub-ledgers and performing any monthly reconciliations.

Skills:

• At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Quickbooks and XERO will be highly desirable.
• Knowledge of mortgage loan processing would be highly desirable.
•  Ability to work under pressure and deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
