Changes to Super contributions from 1st July 2026 ( Payday superannuation)

Australian government is changing when employers need to pay superannuation guarantee contributions for their employees.

You must pay super at the same time when you pay employees salary and wages, instead of current quarterly or monthly pay,  payment must be done within 7 days of pay check.

ATO Small Business Superannuation Clearing House (SBSCH) for super payments from 30 June 2026, employers will need to use payroll software for super payments, or employers need move to alternative super stream options. ATO small business superannuation clearing house (SBSCH) will not be available form 01 July 2026.

Super guarantee will increase form 11.5% current to 12% from 01 July 2026.
